Honeymoon Day 8 - Keeleng

Hehehe Ay-chung again.

Was so disappointed when my favorite One Piece are SOLD OUT.

But we still ordered some food there.
LOL.

Took train to Taipei Main Station.
Walked to Bus terminal B.

Bought tickets to Yehliu. (NT96)

Journey took around 1 hour.
NOTE : The bus brings you to Yeliu, not Yehliu Park.

This is the drop off point.

After that you had to follow the "green road" to Yehliu Park.

The lady in red is standing on the "green road".
After a few mins walk you will see a port.

Continue down the road.

And then you will see the signboard of Yehliu Park (:

Youth card is useless here too.
Have to buy the tickets at full price (NT80)

LOL.

The wind is big and the weather is good on the day of our visit.
Beautiful place.

Every stone has their own name.
But we couldn't really tell what is what except those that are really obvious.

I saw this paw shaped hole and named it "Bear Bear".
Apparently it is not an attraction. LOL.

Dragon head.

And this is the most famous stone at Yehliu Park.
The queen's head.

There are at least 38974 people queuing to take a picture with it.
We passed and went back.

On the way back there is a short row of stores.
Nothing fancy and we didn't bought any souvenir.

We then went to the information center and asked the staff for directions.
Took a public bus to Keelung.

When in Keelung, one must go to MiaoKou night market.
Hehe our first stop is a seafood stall.

天下第一味 (Red Signboard)

We ordered some of the recommended stuffs.
But frankly speaking the seafood is not very nice.

This prawn smells very weird and our seats even have cockroaches. -_-

Fresh but weird taste and smell.

The butter crab.
Not very fresh, the meat tasted powdery and that is, if it has any meat at all.
Too dry.

The cheese scallop is good, but very expensive.

Cheese oyster, again too dry.

Overall not very satisfying and expensive.
We spent about NT900 for this meal.

After that we decided to look for those famous MUST TRY food recommended by Taiwan shows.

Miao Kou Night Market is very organised. You can easily locate the stall by the stall numbers.

Stall 5 - Wu Ji (吳記)

Oily rice (油饭)
Fried glutinous rice with mushrooms.
P loved it.

Crab Thick Soup (螃蟹羹)
The crab meat is not cooked and it tasted pretty disgusting.
We didn't finish it.

Stall 16 – Tempura (天妇罗)

The tempura is made from shark's meat.
Sounded pretty cool but P doesn't want to try it.

Stall 25.1 - Ding Bian Chuo (邢记鼎边搓)

This store is located next to the temple.

The staffs are quite fierce and they don't allow you to choose your own seats.

It tasted like soon kuay, smooth and jelly like texture.
I find it nice.

Stall 41 - 陳記泡泡冰

Heard many good review of this place.
Do try their most famous flavor - Peanut butter.

P and I hated peanut butter, thus we ordered grape flavor.
I was very disappointed as the "grape flavor" turned out to be vanilla with raisin.

It's good but I didn't expect my grape to taste like this.

Last but not least, the most famous store in Miao Kou Night Market.

Stall 58 – 营养三明治

On a busy night, be prepared to wait up to 1 hour to get one.
We were lucky as it was raining and we went there on a weekday.

Thus we got ours within 10 min.

Love it!
P regretted not getting 2.
We went back and saw the queue growing and so we didn't managed to get another one.

Walked to Keelung train station to catch a train back to Tapei.
