Good Bye 2012!

My company is giving us an off day. :)
So I brought my sis out for a new year eve lunch @Sushi Express.

$1.50 for all plates.
Free tea.
Always so fresh, good and cheap.
I prefer going there on a weekday afternoon because there will be lesser crowd.

Cravings all satisfied!
Spent less than $30~

After sushi, Sis treated me to ice cream @ColdStone

Staffs are very friendly and nice.
Wishing us a happy new year and performed the ice cream tossing.

Sis Oreo's heaven.

And my all time favourite strawberry cheesecake. (:

Headed home and changed after that.
Went out to meet P who has to work. :x

He suggested Jack's place again.
But this time Jack's place only served their "New Year Menu".
Which basically makes everything more expensive and shit. Hahaha.

4 course meal, not bad.

Prawn fruits salad for starter.

Lobster soup with garlic bread.

After P had gotten his Note 2 he just keep snapping pictures.
Can't even eat in peace without getting an unglam picture taken.

Main course is damn loved.
The different is actually the plate, normally the steak is on a hotplate.

P missed the potato so he ordered one to munch on.

And lastly the meal ended with ice cream and tea.

This black dog poop is actually chocolate coated ice cream.
Don't judge it's taste by it's appearance. Lol.

Went back to my place to countdown.

2012 ended with the most beautiful fireworks outside my house.

2013 is going to be a good year. (:

X'mas dinner & gift exchange.

Me and my girls planned a x'mas gift exchange dinner.
We went to The Central @Clark Quay for dinner.

Initial plan was to have buffet but we couldn't find the place. :X
The structure of the building is quite confusing.
We settled randomly at this place.

Pasta de Waraku
http://www.waraku.com.hk

Lots of bad reviews about the shop.
But the food really looks appealing so we still went for it.

True enough as stated on the internet, the service SUCKS.
We stood outside the shop for quite some time and there is not a single soul that attend to us.

When we are finally seated, all I could remember is;

1)Waiting for someone to take our orders
2)Forget orders
3)Waiting for someone to come and give us the bill.
4)Mad stuffy place.

And for God sake, other than us, there were only 2 other tables with people.
The rest of the people got pissed waiting by the door and leave.

And know what? Those waitress keep flirting with the chef and giggle non stop.
So Waraku hired you girls to flirt with chef one huh.

Back to food.
We ordered the set meal that come with a drink, a choice of pasta, soup, salad and main course.
Potion was really big.

Cynthia ordered bacon carbo with salmon.
The carbo was good for awhile then began to taste really overpowering.

The rest of us ordered scallops aglio with steak.
The aglio tasted just nice.
A lot of scallops were given.
The one in the middle are fried tofu and potato salad. Love them too.
But the beef really taste like stone.

Overcooked and tasteless.
Felt like they boiled it in water. Seriously.
I've eaten enough beef to judge this shit.

Paid $30+ per pax and I can say it's not worth the price.

One thing good about the place is that even when you sit there for 5 hours you don't have to worry.
Cause nobody is giving a shit about you.

Anyway, after dinner we did our gift exchange.
Really had fun with my girls. :)

But next time I'll bring them to a place with better review for dinner.

Jack's Place.

It's 17th again. :)
Decided to give Jack's Place a try for the first time.

Went to the outlet at AMK.
http://www.jacksplace.com.sg

The shop is located beside Courts, at the central.
Took us some time to find the place.

But the atmosphere there is quite good.
Low light, X'mas music playing in the background.

We ordered the Jack's special beef and add on for a complete meal.
Spent $76+ in total.
But it was completely worth the value.

Thick mushroom soup with a lot of small bits of mushroom with garlic bread.

Here comes our beef!
Love how it's still cooking when it came to us.
Mushroom sauce topping with boiled vegetables.

Thought the baked potato was quite tasteless.
Until we noticed that we have to ask for sauces.
The sauces consist of mayonnaise, bacon bits and onions.

The waiter added a bit too much of everything lol.
But it taste really heavenly ~

The meal ended with a cup of (coffee/tea) and a dessert. (cake/ice cream)

Really good dining experience over there.
Will visit again soon.

Happy 23rd to me~

Happy birthday to myself~

P brought me out for the day.
We reached Vivo City around noon so P suggested Dim Sum.

Went to Din Tai Feng for some dim sum!
http://www.dintaifung.com.sg

Different outlet sells different stuffs.
For the Vivo outlet, they have a special menu that sells more expensive food.

Okay, remember to ask them to bring this plate of shit back.
Because even if you left it untouched, they will be charging you $3 excluding GST.
I don't know what is it.

Ordered this shark fin with roe crabmeat dumplings.
Mega nice. $5.40

Photobucket

Ordered 2 Xiao Long Bao~
$4.20 each. Mad awesome too!

And erm, P ordered this.
I don't really like Siew Mai because I hate the fats of pork.
But this is pretty good. But honestly I would rather order another Shark Fin dumplings.
$5.20 each.

Hai Gao~ My favorite!
Filled with a big piece of chewy shrimp.
So juicy and good!!! Ordered 2!
$5.60 each.

And lastly, Custard bun.
Was kinda cheated to order this.
Not nice at all. The custard is kinda tasteless.
$5.40

The bill amount to $50.15 inclusive of GST.
Chinese tea cost $2 per pax.

After dim sum we walked around Vivo City.
Bought jelly beans from Cocoa Tree.
Quite nice, but it cost $8 for a few pieces. -.-

Then we chilled till 7pm at the roof area.
I followed P around the whole day trying to figure out where he's bringing me for dinner.
And now it's finally dinner time~

Carnivore!
http://www.carnivore.com.sg

Saw the place on TV for a few times but didn't get to try it as it's pretty expensive.
$49++ for weekend dinner.

We were given a card, whenever we are ready for the food to be served to us,
We have to turn the card to the green side.
And if not, we turn it to the red side.

Visited the salad bar before we get started with all the meats.
I love the rosemary potato.

The choices is not exactly a lot, but everything tasted good.
I would rather choose this over a million of yucky food.

We're just in time for the 1 for 1 drinks.
We ordered fruit punch~

The sauces are very nice!
Loved the BBQ sauce.

As soon as we settled down and turned our card to green,
The waiters started crowding towards us.
Mad awesome.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE BEEF.
It's so mad awesome and juicy Imma die. :')

They served grilled,
Beef
Pork
Chicken
Fish

There is pineapple, sausages of all kinds and P's personal favorite is Ham.
I enjoyed everything.

Our seats are located next to the window thus the night ended well with fireworks outside the window.

Thank you baby, it was a perfect day out. :)
