Taipei 2013 - Day Three (实在好湾)

 Day 3 ootd.
We had a sudden change of plan.
Today we were supposed to visit Keelung but we woke up pretty late.

Late enough for lunch. So we headed straight for lunch.

馬辣 (Ma La Steamboat)
台北市西门町西薴南路62号2楼 (XiMenDing outlet)
Website : www.mala-1.com.tw

 Lunch hour - 11.30am~16:00pm (NT$448)
Dinner hour - 16:00pm~05:00pm (NT$548)
For weekend prices, just add NT$50.

This shop was most recommended online. Always filled with people.

The seats are spacious, place is clean.
I love how all Taiwan shops provide tissues for their customers.
Super good service. Staffs are nice and friendly.

They served Haagen-Dazs and Movenpick ice creams. (8 flavors each) O.O

For drinks they served vintage bottled soft drinks. (Coke and 7 up)
Free flow of Taiwan beer, herb teas, coffee and earl grey tea.

Desserts are fruits, jelly and puddings.

You get to order the meats on the menu. And all the meats are top quality.

Each of them comes with a label. So considerate. :')
P and I love the black angus.
MAD SOFT AND FRESH.

The one you get to take yourself are mostly vegetables and seafood.
I felt so spoiled just by looking at all the ingredients.

We ordered the famous Ma La soup base and collagen soup base.

BEST STEAMBOAT EVER.
I MEAN WHERE CAN YOU FIND A STEAMBOAT THAT SERVED UNLIMITED SEA CUCUMBERS.
NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE BIG AND FRESH.

Mushroom eater. Lol.

The beer tasted normal haha. I don't like beer anyway.

It's better to dine on weekdays.
Because you get 2 hours of eating and it's cheaper.
On weekends you only get 1.5 hours.

P and I came here again on a weekend later this week and didn't have time to even finish eating. More on that later.

Now I'm going to share with you girls where to get the cheapest shoes in Taiwan.
And I present you...

K underground mall! (Taipei Main Station)
Shoes that are selling at NT$390 is only NT$150 here.
If you buy more you get discount too!

This is the more atas part, if you see this place, you are walking towards the wrong direction.

The underground mall look like this.
And this is the last photo I have with me.
Because after this I kept myself very busy with choosing shoes, and P, busying holding them.

This place sells the cheapest shoes, fake eye lashes and accessories.
You're welcome.

Random photos taken at 7-11.

After that we went to visit the 3rd night market.
Shida night market, also known as the youngster night market.
You will see a lot of students there.
And since the targeted crowds are students, the things there are cheaper too.

Shida night market is located at Taipower building station.
We followed the GPS and found the night market inside the alley.

The first food we had there was this bun thingy again.
We decided to eat it because of the long Q.

Always trust the local haha. It's nice!

This is one of the famous shop at Shida night market!
Lantern hot stew! (灯笼卤味)
It's like our Yong dao fu, but a lot better!

You get to select the ingredients and proceed to pay.
And the boss will start cooking the ingredients in a pot.
After that he will add salted vegetables and chili.

Really damn nice.
Go early if you don't want to miss any of the good stuffs.
The most popular is a type of vegetables named Mai Cai and pork knuckles.

The other popular food is the crepes.
We didn't try that because it look too sweet.

Shida night market is kinda small, so there's not much food choices.
We sat down at a store and have mixed tempura.

Everything is nice except this.
 PORK BLOOD CAKE EWWWWWWWW.
I took a bite and nearly puke out everything. FML.

Went into this shop for facial products.
Selling 1 mask at NT$13 only! But you couldn't bring your bags in.
They provide lockers outside for you to keep all your barangs before entering.

After this we went back to XiMenDing because of the lack of fun and food at Shida.

XiMenDing has like almost all the famous food. LOL.
Since we stayed there we figured out that we don't have to buy the food from far away.

Loots for day 3. Can't believe I only bought 5 pairs of shoes.
Hate myself so much now.
And if you can find a red box in the middle, it's the most expensive stuffs of all.

A random girl stopped us and kinda pestered us for a while.
And guess what? The useless thing actually cost us NT$300.
I can buy 2 pairs of shoes with that money. It's some kind of donation crap and they won't let you go before you give them the money.
Kinda like a scam.
Unless you can push the girl away when she hold you, then maybe you can save the money. Haha.

That's all for day 3!
