Taipei Jan 2016 - Day 1

After a horrible experience with Scoot a year back, we stick back to Jetstar.
A lot of my friends always asked :"What Taiwan?! Again?!"

Yes, Taiwan again x 2867 times.
We love Taiwan so why not? :p

Been going to Taiwan yearly since 2013.
Taiwan is like my 2nd hometown.
We can travel to most of the places without a map.

The cool thing is, even the shop keeper recognize us! Hahaha.

We took Free Go Bus as usual because we always prefer to stay in Xi Men Ding.
Free Go Bus stops directly in front of our Inn.

Stayed at Good9Stay for the second time.
It cost NT10200 for 6 nights. (About $74 per night)

P had been craving for the cuttlefish thick soup so we went there for our first meal.
谢谢鱿鱼羹 ~

Spotted a new store selling fried squid and decided to give it a try.

It was juicy and nice.
:'( Wish we can have this daily.

After that we took train to Jiantan Station for dinner.
The famous Shilin Market!

Xi Men Ding has almost all the famous food so we choose not to eat things that we can get at Xi Men Ding every time we were here.

The last time I swore not to have this Cheesy Prince Potato, cos it sucks.
But it seems I've forgotten about it and I ordered one.

The potato is cold, the cheese is almost tasteless.
The standard drop a lot since 2013. (The first time I ate it.)

I Swear I Will Not Eat This Again!!!
Thou I will most likely ordered it again on my next trip.

Xi Men Ding have diced beef too but the queue is always damn long.
But at Shilin there are 2 stores so we always go to the less crowded store.

Best lala ever. Big and Juicy. (NT100 for a few piece)
Considered quite expensive for street food.

Anddddddd my favorite stinky tofu store.
I only eat stinky tofu here.
I've tried the tofu from other places and they tasted like animal poop.
Not that I've eaten any animal poop but the tofu smells like Zoo.

We walked around and wasted some money before heading back to Xi Men Ding for my favorite Mee Sua.

Ah Chung Mee Sua ~ :'D

And we dabao some food back to the Inn.

Loots for day 1.

Gudetama is totally the next ÏN thing in Taiwan.
I've spent half the trip budget on Gudetama.

I know Japan sells cheaper Re-ment but I cannot afford to fly to Japan.
NT1280 for a set of 8. (About $58)

*Cue Gudetama annoying theme song*
GU DE TAMA TAMA~

Honeymoon Day 13 - Last day of trip

With a heavy heart, we are finally heading home.
2 long weeks at Taiwan is rrally awesome.

Thank you everyone for being so sweet, kind and nice to us!

We went to had our last both of thick squid soup.

And some dice beef.

And we took FREE Go Bus back to the airport.

The taoyuan airport terminal 1 has limited food.
Be sure to have your lunch outside before you depart.

After 4 hr 45mins we finally touched down in Singapore.
We paid SGD168 for an extra 5kg baggage.

Chaocheebye jetstar scam money only.

And we bought duty free wine~

The sales person keep encouraging us to get more.
We ended spending another $100+ on wine.

And we spent the remaining NT on mickey mouse miniatures.
Cost around SGD40+ for 10 boxes.

Singapore is selling $9.90 for just 1 box.

Our pressed coins!(:

Bought with remaining NT.
Adventure time ear ring.

Eco-prawns.

And miniatures I got from the museum.

Great trip.
Already planning for our next trip to Taiwan again. :)!

Honeymoon Day 12 - ShiFen 十分

Taipei Railway Station

MRT : Taipei Main Station

How to get to ShiFen : Take the railway heading to [RuiFang]

Alight at RuiFang station and switch to the train the other side to get to ShiFen(十份).

Asked P to grab me Bento while I'm queuing for the train ticket.

Oh god yes.
My pork chop bento.

P ended buying 1 himself despite saying he don't like bento.

Beautiful milk tea and latte bottle.

Tickets to ShiFen.
We had to queue for the ticket at RuiFang again.

Bloody troublesome.

When we reached there it was raining. :(
P and I went to look for a shop with lesser people to write our sky lantern.

Bad choice, because the staffs here are not very friendly, thus the lack of business.
Hahaha.

Hahaha Hou Sai Lei ah!

Adventure time in Taiwan is in Mandarin and a bit of Canto mix.
Jake is called LaoPi, and Finn is AhBao.
And they like to say Hou Sai Lei (So clever).

Blue is for career, and I really did get a perm job hahaha.

Red is for health.

Yellow is for $$$

Orange is for marriage. ♥

May all our wishes come true. (:
After that the rain stopped and we walk around the area to take pictures.

Dabao a chicken wing to eat on the way back.

We went to Shilin market, yup again.
And this time we tried the tempanyaki.
It is not as good as the one we had yesterday.

A bowl of clam soup is NT100 with only 6 clams inside -_-

And I had my favorite smelly tofu again!

P tried tempura.

And we bought more souvenirs for our friends.

LOL! Bought this for P's tico friend.

Loots of the day~ (with P's leg)

I've manged to exchange 2 melody glasses from 7-11 ((:
